Exploration

HONGDAE

After getting settled in terms of housing, it was time to explore! One of my favorite places in

Seoul would have to be the special tourist center in Hongdae. This famous area is notorious for their busking performances, cafes/restaurants, and a row of shops that shine the special tourist zone into a creation of its own. It can be tempting to go out on a shopping frenzy, but my advice would be to keep a keen eye out for quality and visualization of your luggage space.

COEX MALL

I was also able to go to COEX Mega Mall where I got to see the Starfield library in Gangnam. The restauraunts and strores within the megamall were impressive. I think that this is a popular photo place, there is a movie theater, along with an aquarium all over this facility. In addition to the restaurants inside the area have serve delicious food and pastries that are unparalleled.

MYEONG-DONG

Another Shopping area with amazing street food from lamb kebabs, tteok-boki, chicken skewers, and even shrimp delicacies. The underground malls are also a great place for shoppig for K-pop merchandise. This mostly caters to women looking for socks, cheap clothes, accessory items. Its also a great place to get a second luggage which I did have to purchcase. What makes it a bit funny is that some merchant shops can bargain the price down a bit, just be careful because they are pretty wise negotiators if they do allow it.

DONGDAEMUN DESIGN PLAZA

Noted to be the fashion district of Seoul with their collection of museum, exhibits, and art displaces (This is where they host Seoul Fashion Week). One of my personal luxuries consists of the small light museum exhibit, unveiling a sensory haven of digital artwork and temporal music that soothes your mind. The chairs near the giftshop are also structured uniquely, everything about it was purely aesthtic with the architecture from the exterior reflecting silver confidence throughout the entire plaza.

N-SEOUL Tower

The signature spire of Seoul was a wild experience for me. With each floor having a digital design while making your way to the scenery platform. I rode a cable car for the first time with my friends up to the location and got to see the collage of love locks that waltz towards the Tower's entrance. We got to the tower at night and at first I was a bit nervous that the view was not gonna be as great given we came on a cloudy day, but the lights were so eerie in the most beautiful way. Seoul is a city that just knows how to take your breathe away.
